Key Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests warmly and efficiently upon their arrival.
• Present menus, answer questions, and make informed recommendations regarding food and beverages.
• Accurately take food and drink orders, carefully noting any special requests or dietary restrictions, and enter them into the POS system.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience and respond promptly and courteously to any needs or concerns.
• Process payments accurately, handle cash and credit card transactions, and operate the POS terminal.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including tables, chairs, and server stations, at all times.
• Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members to ensure smooth service flow.
• Adhere strictly to all food safety and sanitation guidelines and company policies.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as required, including setting up and breaking down the dining area.

Required Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
• A positive attitude and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume, team-oriented environment.
• Eagerness to learn new procedures, menu items, and service standards.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating bills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in any customer-facing role (e.g., retail, volunteer work, call center).
• ProServe certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring – a provincial requirement for serving alcohol).
• Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems (though comprehensive training will be provided).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
