Bilingual Translator (EN/FR)

JOB DESCRIPTION Bilingual French / English Translation Support

Location: Remote, preferred Montreal, QC (Canada)

Work Model: Fully Remote

Job Type: Contract

Rate: CAD 32/hr- 35/hr on T4 (based upon years of experience)


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Translate existing business documents, communications, presentations, and operational materials from English to French while maintaining accuracy, tone, and context. Create and maintain French-language versions of new documents, templates, and supporting materials. Review and proofread translated content to ensure grammatical accuracy, consistency, and alignment with company standards. Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand document requirements and translation objectives. Adapt content appropriately for French-speaking audiences while preserving the intended message and business context. Manage multiple translation requests and prioritize deliverables to meet established deadlines. Maintain version control and ensure translated documents are organized and easily accessible. Collaborate with team members to clarify terminology, technical language, and content requirements. Support document updates, revisions, and localization efforts as business needs evolve. Ensure confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive company information and documentation.

REQUIREMENTS:

Fluency in both French and English, with excellent written communication skills in both languages. Experience translating business, corporate, administrative, technical, or operational documents. Strong proofreading, editing, and attention-to-detail skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a remote environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Experience creating, updating, and maintaining document templates and standardized materials. Ability to interpret and communicate information accurately across languages and audiences. Comfortable working within deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Candidates must be comfortable translating and drafting professional-level business documentation in both English and French. Strong grammar, proofreading, and document formatting skills are essential.

Candidates should be able to work independently and manage multiple document requests in a fast-paced environment.
