Role Description The Junior Bookkeeper (Data Entry) is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB. This position is responsible for entering and updating financial data, including invoices, receipts, and payments, into accounting software. Daily tasks include assisting with the preparation of basic financial records, reconciling accounts, and posting journal entries under supervision.

The role also involves organizing documents, maintaining accurate digital and paper files, and supporting senior staff with routine bookkeeping and tax-related administrative tasks. The successful candidate will follow established procedures, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with the team to ensure accurate, compliant records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Diploma in Accounting or a related field. Recent graduate is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks and experience navigating the software
  • Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and data entry skills are required.
  • Basic knowledge of Canadian small business and personal tax concepts is an asset.
