About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to contribute to the stability and safety of power generation facilities in the Surrey area. This role involves critical analysis of soil conditions, foundation design, and site characterization to support the construction and maintenance of energy infrastructure. You will work closely with civil engineers and project teams to provide expert geotechnical insights, ensuring the integrity of structures under diverse environmental conditions. This is a challenging and rewarding position for an engineer passionate about infrastructure resilience and sustainable energy development.

Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough site investigations, including soil borings, sample collection, and in-situ testing. Perform detailed geotechnical analyses for foundation design, slope stability, and seismic assessments of power plant structures. Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports, including recommendations for design and construction. Provide expert technical consultation and oversight during the construction phase to ensure compliance with geotechnical designs. Collaborate with structural engineers, civil engineers, and construction teams to integrate geotechnical findings into overall project plans. Requirements Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably in the energy sector. Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar. Experience with foundation design for heavy industrial structures and knowledge of seismic design principles.
