Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize core gameplay features and systems using programming languages such as C++, C#, JavaScript, and Python.
  • Develop and maintain game engine components, ensuring smooth performance across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate game design concepts into functional code that enhances player experience.
  • Write clean, efficient code while adhering to best practices in software development and version control using tools like GitHub, SVN, and Git.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and web services (RESTful APIs) to enhance game functionality and online features.
  • Conduct debugging, testing, and profiling to identify issues and improve overall game stability and performance.
  • Participate in Agile development cycles, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of features.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in software development within the gaming industry or related fields such as application or web development.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages including C++, C#, JavaScript, Python, Ruby on Rails, VBA, and Java.
  • Familiarity with front-end development frameworks and technologies for creating engaging user interfaces.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for game hosting or backend services.
  • Knowledge of database management systems like MySQL or SQL Server for managing game data.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems for development environments.
  • Understanding of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) for integrating external services into games.
  • Ability to work within Agile methodologies using tools like GitHub, SVN, Git for version control.
  • Bonus skills include experience with.NET frameworks, RESTful web services, AWS cloud solutions, front-end development skills, and familiarity with C++ or C# in game engines.
