About the position

Duties As senior regional engagement agent, you will help to plan, design, deliver and evaluate compliance promotion tools—including workshops and presentations focused on specialized information—and best practices on the implementation of the Official Languages Act and the Use of French in Federally Regulated Private Businesses Act for the institutions subject to them. You will be tasked with establishing, maintaining and deepening strategic relationships with representatives of official language communities and the public, quasi-public and private sectors. You will help to plan, develop, implement and evaluate promotional and awareness-raising activities on linguistic duality and language rights to these stakeholders.

Finally, you will collect and analyze data based on monitoring trends and issues at the regional level with respect to the implementation of language obligations.

The person appointed will be required to report to the designated work location in accordance with the Common Hybrid Working Model for the Federal Public Service and the Organizational Guidelines for Telework.

Intent of the process

This selection process is anticipatory.A pool of qualified candidates resulting from this process may be established and used to fill similar positions with various language requirements, security requirements, various conditions of employment, various locations and durations. All federal organizations listed in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act may use this staffing process to appoint a candidate to its organization in a similar position if a pool is created with the approval of the manager in consultation with Human Resources.

EXPERIENCE• Comprehensive (1) experience in communicating information and expert advice to government institutions, public administrations or community organizations working in the social, political or language fields.

  • Experience in developing and maintaining partnerships.
  • Significant (2) experience in developing and delivering presentations in a professional setting.(1) Your screening answers must demonstrate a level of experience that is normally acquired over a period of about three years. Your level of experience will be evaluated in terms of the depth and range of activities, the complexity and the diversity of the types of tasks performed and the autonomy shown.(2) Your screening answers must demonstrate a level of experience that is normally acquired over a period of about one year.
