Remote Live Chat Representative

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Live Chat Representative to join their growing remote customer support team. In this entry-level role, you will be the friendly, knowledgeable voice behind the chat window, helping customers resolve questions, troubleshoot issues, and get the most out of our client's products and services, all without ever picking up the phone.

A typical day means juggling multiple chat conversations at once, moving quickly between topics while staying warm and clear in your writing. You will look things up in a knowledge base, tag and escalate trickier cases, and keep detailed notes so nothing falls through the cracks. People who thrive here are fast typists, calm under pressure, genuinely enjoy helping people, and are comfortable working independently from a home office.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to incoming customer chats promptly and professionally
  • Handle multiple live chat conversations simultaneously
  • Troubleshoot basic account, billing, and product questions
  • Guide customers through step-by-step solutions using internal resources
  • Escalate complex issues to senior support staff or appropriate teams
  • Accurately log interactions and outcomes in the CRM system
  • Meet daily and weekly targets for response time and customer satisfaction
  • Identify recurring issues and share feedback with the support team
  • Stay current on product updates, promotions, and policy changes
  • Maintain a positive, patient tone in every interaction
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • No prior chat or call center experience necessary, training provided
  • Excellent written English with strong grammar and spelling
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute accurately
  • Comfortable multitasking across several chat windows at once
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home workspace
  • Basic computer proficiency including web browsers and CRM tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Availability to work scheduled shifts, including some evenings or weekends
