<strong>About This Role<br><br></strong><strong>Manufacturing assembly, production team leadership, continuous improvement and high-precision manufacturing.<br><br></strong>As a Production Supervisor, you will lead a manufacturing team responsible for building CAE's industry-leading flight simulators. You will oversee daily production activities, ensuring safety, quality, productivity and delivery objectives are achieved while supporting a collaborative and high-performing team environment.<br><br>We are looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys working on the production floor, solving problems and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic manufacturing environment.<br><br><strong>Description<br><br></strong>Join a manufacturing team where your impact will be direct and visible. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day production activities while ensuring safety, quality, operational performance and employee development.<br><br>This position is ideal for a leader who can engage teams, improve processes and contribute to achieving production goals in a complex, technology-driven environment.<br><br><strong>Duties & Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Supervise, coach and develop a team of production employees in a manufacturing environment </li><li>Manage daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, productivity and delivery objectives are achieved </li><li>Foster a positive, collaborative and accountable team culture </li><li>Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality and manufacturing standards </li><li>Monitor production schedules and proactively address issues that may impact project milestones and delivery timelines </li><li>Coordinate workforce allocation, materials and resources to support production requirements </li><li>Analyze operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and productivity </li><li>Lead continuous improvement and change management initiatives </li><li>Establish, implement and maintain production procedures and operational standards </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing objectives and customer commitments </li><li>Manage employees in accordance with company policies and collective agreements <br><br></li></ul><strong>Minimum Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience </li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience leading teams in a manufacturing or production environment </li><li>Experience managing production schedules, workforce planning and operational performance </li><li>Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment </li><li>Experience working in a unionized environment </li><li>Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies </li><li>Knowledge of manufacturing health and safety best practices </li><li>Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications </li><li>Experience working in a complex, technology-driven or evolving manufacturing environment </li><li>Strong communication skills in both French and English <br><br></li></ul>English proficiency is required for this role as it involves regular interaction with colleagues, customers and partners located outside of Quebec.<br><br><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Experience leading teams through organizational or operational change </li><li>Demonstrated ability to engage employees and foster adoption during periods of change </li><li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills </li><li>Results-oriented mindset with a proactive approach </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Experience in aerospace, defence or other complex manufacturing industries <br><br></li></ul><strong>Benefits<br><br></strong><ul><li>Group insurance </li><li>Telemedicine services </li><li>Employee Assistance Program </li><li>Employee stock purchase plan </li><li>Group RRSP </li><li>Defined benefit pension plan </li><li>Sabbatical leave </li><li>Enhanced parental leave <br><br></li></ul><strong>About CAE<br><br></strong><em>At CAE, our mission is clear: to help make the world a safer place.
