Junior Bookkeeper

We have years of experience in executive or personal assistant roles, office administration, graphic design, web design, and well... you get the picture.

We are currently seeking a Junior Bookkeeper who is detail-oriented, reliable, and looking to gain hands-on experience supporting a real business. This is a low-hour, flexible role ideal for someone early in their bookkeeping career or completing bookkeeping/accounting training.

Responsibilities

  • Input monthly expenses
  • Prepare basic monthly summaries as requested
  • Follow established bookkeeping processes and timelines
Requirements
  • Basic bookkeeping knowledge or training (certificate, diploma, or equivalent experience)
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks Online or Wave
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet monthly deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Clear written communication and professionalism
Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting a small business or service-based company
  • Introductory understanding of GST/PST/HST tracking
Compensation
  • $30–$40 CAD per hour, depending on experience
  • Estimated 2–4 hours per month
  • Contract position with potential for long-term collaboration as needs grow
