Role Overview
Invences is seeking an Entry-Level Cybersecurity Engineer with a Master's degree in Cybersecurity (mandatory) to support the security of wireless networks, private 5G systems, and datacenter infrastructure. This role is designed for early-career professionals who want hands-on exposure to telecom, cloud, and enterprise security environments.
You will work alongside senior engineers to help design, implement, and monitor security controls across 4G/5G networks, cloud platforms, and on-prem datacenters, gaining real-world experience in mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Wireless & Telecom Security
Support security implementation for 4G/5G, Private 5G, and O-RAN network components
Assist in configuring firewalls, network segmentation, and access control policies
Monitor wireless traffic, logs, and alerts for potential threats
Participate in security audits and compliance checks for telecom networks
Datacenter & Infrastructure Security
Assist with security hardening of Linux servers, VMs, and container platforms
Support identity and access management (IAM) and system patching activities
Help secure switches, routers, and firewall devices
Assist with vulnerability scanning and remediation tracking
Cloud & Automation Security
Support security controls in AWS, Azure, and private cloud environments
Assist with Zero Trust and least-privilege security models
Help automate security checks, reports, and compliance tasks
Monitoring & Incident Response
Monitor SIEM dashboards, security alerts, and system logs
Assist with incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and documentation
Help maintain security runbooks, SOPs, and audit documentation
Mandatory Qualifications
Master's degree in Cybersecurity (required)
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, firewalls)
Knowledge of Linux operating systems and security basics
Familiarity with cybersecurity principles (CIA triad, IAM, encryption, access control)
Strong analytical skills and eagerness to learn telecom and infrastructure security
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Exposure to wireless networks (4G/5G, Wi-Fi, Private 5G)
Basic experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Familiarity with security tools (Wireshark, Nessus, OpenVAS, Splunk, etc.)
Understanding of Zero Trust, VPNs, certificates, and PKI
Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
