Pay Rate: $24.00–$27.00/hour (based on experience)

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (occasional weekend shifts)

Our client, a leading precision metal fabrication and manufacturing company in Scarborough, ON, is looking for a Metal Welder / Signage Fabricator to join their production team.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble signage, metal enclosures, cabinets, kiosks, and display systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and work orders.
  • Measure, cut, bend, drill, grind, and finish aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel components.
  • Operate fabrication equipment including saws, drills, grinders, press brakes, shears, and other shop machinery.
  • Perform welding, fitting, and assembly of metal components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality and meet customer specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Follow company safety policies, quality procedures, and Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
  • Assist with installation of fabricated signage when required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in metal fabrication, welding, sheet metal fabrication, or a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with signage, enclosures, kiosks, cabinets, or custom metal products is an asset.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions.
  • Experience using fabrication equipment and precision measuring tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Skilled with hand tools, power tools, calipers, plasma cutters, and fabrication equipment.
  • Ability to safely handle and maneuver materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
