Senior Quality Engineer – Native Mobile & API Automation

<p>Position: Senior Quality Engineer – Native Mobile & API Automation</p><p>Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid - 3 days/week onsite)</p><p>Experience Level: 8+ Years</p><p><br></p><p>Role Overview & Key Responsibilities:</p><p>• Lead in-sprint functional testing, regression testing, and E2E test execution for native iOS and Android mobile applications.</p><p>• Design, write, and maintain automation scripts for Mobile UI (Appium) and API layer (Python, Pytest).</p><p>• Build and execute test strategies, plans, and test cycles using BDD Gherkin language with Pytest and Cucumber frameworks.</p><p>• Set up and monitor continuous automated test execution cycles using Jenkins and SauceLabs.</p><p>• Manage defect lifecycles, sprint tasks, and test documentation within Jira, Xray, and Confluence.</p><p>• Conduct log analysis and diagnostic debugging using Xcode, Android Studio, TestFlight, and Kibana.</p><p>• Partner closely with cross-functional product and agile development teams to ensure high-quality software releases.</p><p><br></p><p>Required Qualifications & Skills:</p><p>• 8+ years of dedicated software testing experience in native iOS and Android mobile environments.</p><p>• 3+ years of experience with web application functional testing.</p><p>• Strong expertise in Mobile UI Automation using Appium and Python-based API Automation.</p><p>• Deep understanding of manual, functional, regression, smoke, black box, and white box testing methodologies.</p><p>• Experience with Postman, BDD Gherkin, GitHub/SourceTree, and Atlassian tools (Jira, Xray, Confluence).</p><p>• Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced agile environments.</p><p>• Must reside in/near Toronto, ON for 3 days/week onsite availability.</p><p><br></p><p>Nice to Have:</p><p>• Industry experience within FinTech.</p><p>• Hands-on experience with SauceLabs cloud testing platform.</p>
