Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Roofer to join our team in Etobicoke, ON. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in commercial and residential roofing, specializing in asphalt systems and torch-down membrane application. You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing roofing systems while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and replace flat and pitched roofs using Asphalt Systems and Torch-Down (SBS/APP) Membrane Roofing.

  • Inspect roofs to determine the best repair or installation methods and estimate necessary materials.

  • Inspect roof decks for damage or rot and prepare surfaces by cleaning, laying insulation, and applying underlayment.

  • Safely operate open-flame propane torches for torch-on membrane applications in compliance with safety regulations.

  • Install flashing, gutters, downspouts, and vents to ensure watertight protection.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work site, adhering to provincial safety codes and wearing required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.

  • Work collaboratively with team members and site supervisors to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven roofing experience.

  • Technical Skills: Strong hands-on expertise in Asphalt Systems and Torch-Down Membrane Roofing.

  • Safety Certifications: Working at Heights certification is required (Fall Protection training preferred).

  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs), work at heights, stand for long hours, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Ability to work comfortably with open-flame equipment safely.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Reliable transportation to job sites in and around Etobicoke, ON.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly Rate: $25.00 to $30.00 / hour (based on experience)
