Marketing Assistant (Part-Time Contract, Remote)

Lapiy Marketing Inc. | 10 hrs/week | Contract | Fully Remote | $25/hr CAD The Company

Lapiy Marketing Inc. is a solo-run digital marketing agency serving service-based businesses across Canada — Meta Ads, Google Ads, SEO, and web design, delivered on a flat-fee, no-contract model. We are growing fast and almost at capacity. Our current bottleneck to growth is fulfillment, not sales.

We're hiring a Marketing Assistant to take that bottleneck off the table.

This is not a sales or lead-generation role. You will not be asked to bring in business. That's on us. Your job is to execute reliably on the work assigned to you and to help build out the internal systems that let this agency scale.

What this Role Actually Looks Like The initial workload is social media content — video editing and copy — for a small number of active client accounts. Once that's steady, we move into the second phase: building out cleaner internal reporting and organizing the back end of LMI so this agency runs on systems, not memory.

You will not be client-facing to start. If you demonstrate strong judgment and reliability, there is a real, well-defined growth path into managing your own clients. This is a genuine opportunity to learn how a modern digital marketing agency actually runs in 2026 — paid media, SEO, content, and the systems that hold it all together.

What We Are Looking For

You are analytical, organized, and self-directed. If a task needs to be done, you do it — you don't wait to be reminded. If you see a better way to structure something, you say so. You are comfortable working independently and comfortable with the fact that we will hold you to a high standard.

Required skills:

  • Video editing — comfortable producing polished short-form video content using AI-assisted editing tools
  • Social copywriting — able to write copy that matches a brand's voice, not generic AI output copy-pasted without judgment
  • AI fluency — daily-use fluency with modern AI tools for both content and workflow
  • Marketing data literacy — you understand what CTR, CVR, CPC, CPM, and ROAS actually mean, and you can read a performance report without hand-holding
  • Organizational skills — genuinely strong. This role includes building internal systems, not just executing tasks inside them.
Tools you need to be comfortable with:
  • CapCut
  • Metricool
  • Hootsuite
  • Canva
  • Claude & ChatGPT
Nice to have (not required):
  • Google Analytics
  • Google Ads
  • Meta Ads
Requirements:
  • Must be a Canadian resident legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Must have a relatively flexible schedule, or communicate clearly and upfront what times you are and aren't available
A marketing background or relevant schooling is a plus, but demonstrated skill matters more than credentials.

Structure

  • 10 hours/week, contract basis (hard cap — additional hours require prior approval)
  • Fully remote
  • All software and tools provided — you will not pay for or source anything yourself
  • $25/hr CAD, paid bi-weekly
  • Start date: September 1, 2026
  • Room to grow with the agency for the right person
How to Apply We are not accepting written applications. No cover letters, no résumés on their own.

  1. Who you are
  2. Why you're qualified for this role
  3. Why you want to work for LMI specifically
Then, in the same video (or in a follow-up document, your choice), do the following exercise: Pick one social media post from an account you follow or admire. Tell us:
  1. What is the purpose of this post?
  2. Who is the target audience?
  3. What would you change to make it better — or would you keep it exactly as is, and why?
Applications without the video will not be reviewed. Send your application to: info@lapiymarketing.ca
