Manager – Cloud Sales, AWS Canada

DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides companies of all sizes with an infrastructure platform in the cloud. As a Leader within the AWS Commercial Team, you will lead a high impact and diverse team who will build, shape and drive the growth and future of an emerging technology across our Canada customer base. This role leads a team operating a high-velocity motion across a large book of mid-sized and midmarket accounts. You will own the territory strategy, set segmentation and coverage priorities, and operate with significant autonomy over how the team scales — building the system around those accounts.

As a Sales leader within the AWS Commercial Team you will have the opportunity to lead a sales team that focuses on adoption and expansion of our full-service portfolio with our customers. We work backwards from our customers, focusing on their use cases and defining how our broad set of technology solutions can help them. Planning for market adoption, setting vision and strategy for your team, and pivoting on emerging market trends are all things you will do on a daily basis. You will help to identify with your team where our products need to go next to better serve our customers.

We're obsessed with customers, we see beauty in simplifying the complex, and we are comfortable with being called "peculiar." That might sound unorthodox, but our unusual approach and our culture - focused on removing obstacles so builders can build - are part of why our employees enjoy working at AWS.

We are a company of builders who bring varying backgrounds, ideas, and points of view to inventing on behalf of our customers. Come build the future with us.

  • Experience helping teams position and sell AI/GenAI solutions, and driving AI adoption/penetration across a customer base
  • Proven track record developing early-career sellers and building a talent pipeline
  • Strong data fluency — using Scale metrics (pipeline coverage ratio, win rate, deal cycle time / velocity) to drive rep performance and forecasting accuracy
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environment
