Express Employment Professionals is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Logistics Clerk on behalf of a growing manufacturing company in the Guelph area.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team where you'll play a key role in coordinating international shipments, customs documentation, import/export compliance, and specialized freight movements. Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Customs Coordination

  • Coordinate Canadian imports with international freight forwarders and customs brokers.
  • Prepare and review import and export documentation, including CERS declarations, certificates of origin, and shipping documentation.
  • Ensure accurate HS classifications and customs compliance for cross-border shipments.
  • Coordinate domestic and international freight, including oversized and specialized shipments.
  • Track shipments, resolve transportation issues, and communicate with carriers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Liaise with bonded warehouses to facilitate customs clearance and minimize storage costs.
  • Prepare customer-specific shipping documentation and support international trade requirements.

Administration & Facility Support

  • Coordinate annual inspections and certifications for facility equipment and assets.
  • Maintain office, shipping, and facility supply inventories.
  • Assist with employee documentation, general office administration, and facility coordination.
  • Support company events and other administrative projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in import/export documentation, customs compliance, or freight coordination within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian customs procedures, HS classifications, Incoterms, CERS, and certificates of origin.
  • Experience coordinating oversized or specialized freight is required.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, freight providers, and customs brokers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CIFFA, CCS (Certified Customs Specialist), or CTCS designation.
  • Experience with Letters of Credit and documentary collections.
  • Experience within heavy manufacturing, capital equipment, or fabrication environments.
