<br><p><strong>IMMEDIATE INTERIM OPPORTUNITY</strong></p><p><strong>Interim Senior Director, Privacy & Health Records</strong></p><p><strong>Reports to: Chief Financial Officer</strong></p><p><strong>Location: Northern Ontario</strong></p><p><strong>Duration: 4-6 Months </strong></p><p><strong>Remote(Occasional Travel)</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Our client, a respected health services organization, is seeking an experienced and transformational <strong>Senior Director, Privacy & Health Records</strong> to provide executive leadership during a period of organizational transition and change.</p><p><br></p><p>Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will lead the organization's Privacy and Health Records functions while helping to design, implement, and embed a new operating structure that strengthens accountability, improves service delivery, reduces organizational risk, and aligns with evolving strategic priorities.</p><p><br></p><p>This assignment requires an accomplished leader who can balance operational excellence with long-term transformation. The focus will be on modernizing privacy practices, optimizing processes, strengthening governance, enhancing patient and stakeholder experience, and leveraging technology to support a more integrated and efficient model.</p><p>The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in healthcare privacy leadership and a demonstrated track record of transforming privacy programs, mitigating risk, modernizing operations, and leading teams through significant change. Experience within healthcare, community health, long-term care, or other complex health service environments is strongly preferred.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES</strong></p><p><strong>Strategic Leadership & Transformation</strong></p><ul><li>Provide executive leadership to the Privacy, Health Records and Decision Support teams through a period of organizational transformation.</li><li>Partner closely with the CFO and senior leadership team to establish and embed a sustainable future-state organizational structure.</li><li>Develop and execute a roadmap to strengthen privacy governance, operational effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.</li><li>Assess current-state operations and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, service quality, and organizational performance.</li><li>Build internal capability and ensure long-term sustainability through effective succession planning, coaching, and knowledge transfer.</li></ul><p><strong>Privacy Leadership</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as a senior organizational leader and subject matter expert on privacy management and information governance.</li><li>Lead the enhancement and modernization of privacy programs, frameworks, policies, processes, and procedures.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices related to personal health information.</li><li>Strengthen enterprise-wide privacy awareness and accountability through education, training, and stakeholder engagement.</li><li>Lead privacy risk assessments and establish mitigation strategies that reduce organizational exposure.</li><li>Support investigations, audits, breach management activities, and regulatory reporting requirements as required.</li><li>Develop meaningful privacy performance metrics, dashboards, and monitoring processes.</li></ul><p><strong>Health Records Leadership</strong></p><ul><li>Provide strategic oversight for Health Records operations and services.</li><li>Ensure the integrity, accessibility, security, and quality of health information across the organization.</li><li>Support the modernization of records management processes and practices.</li><li>Strengthen relationships between clinical, operational, and technology stakeholders to improve data quality and information management.</li><li>Ensure health records functions effectively support operational, clinical, quality, and reporting requirements.</li></ul><p><strong>Operational Excellence & Process Improvement</strong></p><ul><li>Lead comprehensive reviews of workflows, controls, policies, and operating procedures.</li><li>Identify opportunities to streamline processes, eliminate inefficiencies, reduce duplication, and improve service levels.</li><li>Establish sustainable operating models that improve responsiveness and customer experience.</li><li>Drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability across the team.</li><li>Implement meaningful performance measures and service standards to support operational excellence.</li></ul><p><strong>Technology Enablement</strong></p><ul><li>Partner with Digital Health, IT, and operational leaders to leverage technology solutions that improve privacy management, records administration, reporting, and workflow efficiency.</li><li>Champion digital transformation initiatives that improve the delivery of privacy and information management services.</li><li>Ensure appropriate controls, governance, and risk management practices are embedded within new technology solutions.</li></ul><p><strong>Stakeholder Engagement</strong></p><ul><li>Build strong relationships with executive leaders, clinical teams, operational leaders, external partners, and regulators.</li><li>Act as a trusted advisor on privacy, information governance, and records management matters.</li><li>Successfully navigate complex stakeholder environments while driving organizational change and transformation.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>IDEAL EXPERIENCE</strong></p><ul><li>Progressive senior leadership experience within healthcare, community healthcare, long-term care, home and community care, or broader health services environments.</li><li>Deep expertise in privacy management, information governance, and regulatory compliance involving personal health information.</li><li>Demonstrated success leading enterprise privacy transformation and modernization initiatives.</li><li>Experience redesigning operating models, organizational structures, policies, and governance frameworks.</li><li>Strong understanding of health records operations and health information management.</li><li>Experience partnering with executive teams to drive organizational change and transformation.</li><li>Track record successfully reducing risk, improving compliance, and strengthening customer and stakeholder experience.</li><li>Experience leading large-scale process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Previous involvement in electronic health record implementations, upgrades, or
