Job Description:

  • Provide real-time coaching, feedback, and emotional support/debriefing to responders
  • Ensure adherence to program standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Assist responders in determining when to intervene or make required reports
  • Review contact reports, recorded interactions, and text transcripts for quality assurance
  • Provide assessments, feedback, and recommendations during responder evaluations
  • Support, supervise, and provide feedback to trainee responders
  • Assist with roleplays and other training activities during virtual training sessions
  • Participate in mentoring shifts
  • Evaluate trainees and provide recommendations
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of experience as a responder/in a crisis or distress centre
  • Sound knowledge of crisis intervention principles and skills
  • Knowledge of best practices in suicide prevention
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Empathy, flexibility, and adaptability
  • Excellent listening and communication skills in both English and French
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work with diverse ethno-racial and cultural backgrounds, teams, and stakeholders
  • High levels of sensitivity and diplomacy
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Reliability and flexibility to work various shifts
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality policies
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, changing schedules, and short-notice work
