You will also play a vital role as an expert witness when required and ensuring adherence to regulatory and corporate policies and procedures.</p> Responsibilities <p>1- Forensic Accounting</p> <ul style="list-style-type: square;"> <li>Conduct thorough loss assessments for clients</li> <li>Serve as an expert witness in legal proceedings</li> <li>Detect and investigate financial fraud cases</li> <li>Rebutting flawed forensic accounting reports prepared by others</li> </ul> <p>2- Audit and Review</p> <ul style="list-style-type: square;"> <li>Provide tax compliance services for individuals and businesses</li> <li>Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements</li> <li>Oversee corporate policies and procedures compliance</li> </ul> Qualifications <ul style="list-style-type: square;"> <li>Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation</li> <li>8+ years of experience in forensic accounting and audit</li> <li>Proven expertise in loss assessment, fraud detection, and expert witness services</li> <li>Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance</li> <li>Familiarity with regulatory and corporate policies and procedures</li> <li>Excellent understanding of auditing standards and practices</li> <li>Experience in bankruptcy is considered an asset</li> <li>Experience as an expert witness is regarded as an asset</li> <li>Experience acting as CFO, Controller, or other corporate management roles is viewed as an asset</li> <li>Experience in working for big public accounting firms is considered an asset</li> <li>Industry experience is viewed as an asset</li> <li>Experience with cryptocurrency accounting and fraud is regarded as an asset.</li> </ul> Skills <ul style="list-style-type: square;"> <li>Exceptional analytical and investigative skills</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities</li> <li>Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite</li> <li>Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy</li> <li>Ability to provide expert witness testimony in a clear and concise manner</li> <li>Outstanding organizational and time-management skills</li> <li>Knowledge of emerging accounting technologies is considered an asset</li> </ul> Application Deadline <p>We have an ongoing need for this position from time to time.
