Duties

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages to various destinations within your assigned route
  • Load and unload packages using proper lifting techniques, including heavy items that require physical effort
  • Navigate efficiently using GPS and maps to ensure timely deliveries
  • Communicate clearly with customers during drop-offs, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards and report any maintenance needs
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during deliveries
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip

Skills

  • Ability to move packages of varying sizes, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus but not required; training can be provided
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
  • Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with inventory handling is advantageous
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent driving credentials preferred but not mandatory; safe driving record essential
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
